RICE FEST TO SET GUINNESS WORLD RECORD FOR WORLD’S LARGEST LOCO MOCO

HONOLULU, HI (September 26, 2014)

WHAT:
The first-ever attempt to set the Guinness World Record for the World’s Largest Loco Moco. The dish is expected to weigh-in at 500 kg (1,102.31 lbs). The goal of the 5th Annual Rice Festival is to honor Hawaii’s beloved grain and bring family and friends together with food, entertainment and activities.

Sunday, September 28, 2014 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Official Guinness World Record weigh-in at 3:30 p.m.

All media and press are invited to enjoy the day at the 5th Annual Hawaii Rice Festival presented by Lundberg Family Farms and Ward Centers. Rice Fest is a free, annual family-friendly event that celebrates Hawaii’s most beloved grain, bringing together food trucks, entertainment, celebrity chefs, cooking and eating competitions, and fun for the entire family.
