Hawaii’s largest annual rice event welcomes the team from Eat The Street to expand the number of restaurant choices this year

Honolulu, HIRice Fest is an opportunity for people from a variety of cultures to come together and celebrate the unique elements that unite them.

This year marks the 6th Annual Rice Fest and will be at Ward Village on September 5, 2015 from 10am to 5pm. The event will take place at the Office Depot parking lot, behind the Ward Theater parking structure. The address of the event location is 340 Kamakee St, Honolulu, HI 96814.

At the Rice Fest, you will experience Hawaii’s culinary diversity via food demonstrations, entertainment, and more. This festival celebrates the world’s melting pot for the otherwise ordinary grain. This daily staple is transformed and infused with new and fantastic flavors that tantalize the taste buds.

Rice Fest will include live entertainment, celebrity & chef cooking competitions, and a SPAM musubi eating contest. Featured entertainment this year includes Heart & Soul, Honoka & Azita, the Ukulele Hale Super Kids, and more.

One of the primary initiatives for this event is to bring awareness to Lanakila Meals on Wheels, a wonderful program that helps to feed Hawaii’s hungry seniors. They will be accepting monetary and rice donations all day long at the Lanakila Pacific booth at the Rice Fest.

Recommended parking is at the Pier One/ TJ Maxx parking garage.
